Professor Vic Kam-tuen Law Named Hong Kong’s Only Cornerstone Investigator of the Year
Our Executive Committee Member, Professor Vic Kam-tuen Law , Chair Professor of HKUST’s Department of Physics, has been named a "New Cornerstone Investigator" by the Tencent-funded New Cornerstone Science Foundation for the year, recognizing his outstanding research contributions. This prestigious honor celebrates leading scholars who have made significant impacts in their fields and Professor Law is the only awardee in Hong Kong region. The Cornerstone Investigator award aims to promote high-quality research and elevate Hong Kong’s standing in the global scientific community. Professor Xuechen Li Awarded Support for Breakthrough Peptide Therapeutics Project
Congratulations to our member, Professor Xuechen Li from HKU’s Department of Chemistry, on securing funding for his project, Peptide Drug Innovation and Discovery, under the third round of the RAISe+ Scheme by the Innovation and Technology Commission. As the Morningside Professor in Chemical Biology and Chair Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology, Professor Li’s groundbreaking research aims to overcome key challenges in peptide therapeutics, such as instability, poor permeability, and short half-lives, to develop more effective and accessible drugs. Professor JIANG Liwen Receives Enid MacRobbie Corresponding Membership Award and Fellowship of American Society of Plant Biologists
