Biography

Dr. Ronghui LIANG’s research centers on the molecular virology and antiviral strategies for respiratory viruses, including SARS-CoV-2 and Influenza A. His group constructs validated reverse-genetics systems to dissect how viral and host determinants shape disease severity through immunometabolism. Decoding these host-virus interactions at a molecular level unlocks broad-spectrum therapeutic candidates, a strategy exemplified by his work on D-mannose (Nature Communications), clofazimine (Nature), and Alisol B 23-acetate (J Adv Res).
