Biography

Dr. Yan Zhang is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Space and Earth Information Science, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). He received his Ph.D. in Cartography and Geographic Information Systems from Wuhan University in 2023. His research focuses on GeoAI, remote sensing, urban sensing, human mobility, and environmental exposure, with particular interests in integrating geospatial big data and artificial intelligence to understand urban environments and human–environment interactions. He was awarded the RGC Junior Research Fellow Scheme (JRFS) 2026/27 for his research on integrating human mobility and street-level perception for dynamic green exposure assessment.
