Biography
Professor Lau is a registered clinical psychologist and an impact-oriented clinical scientist of the Department of Psychology of EdUHK. She is dedicated to enhancing human flourishing through her work in sleep-circadian behaviours and mental health, from a neuropsychological-spiritual perspective. Professor Lau’s current research projects on the effects of daytime and night-time sleep gains on neurocognitive functioning and mental health in young adults are supported by the Health and Medical Research Fund and the General Research Fund, respectively. Complementarily, her longstanding work in beliefs, values, meaning, and character development strives to deepen an integrative understanding of flourishing.
