Biography

Professor Jun Zou is Choh-Ming Li Professor of Mathematics at CUHK, and Chairman of Mathematics Department. He worked at UCLA as post-doctoral fellow and CAM Assistant Professor (93-95), at TUM as Visiting Assistant Professor and Humboldt Fellow (91-93), and at Chinese Academy of Sciences as Assistant Professor (89-91). Professor Zou has been working on computational and applied mathematics. He is president-at-large of HKSIAM, and president of Eurasian Association on Inverse Problems. He serves as associate editor of 13 mathematics journals, including SINUM, SISC, JSC, IMANA, M2AN. Professor Zou was elected SIAM Fellow (2019), AMS Fellow (2022), and awarded RGC Senior Research Fellow (2026/27).
