Biography
Dr. Chi-Fai Leung obtained his BSc and PhD (under Prof. Tai-Chu Lau) in City University of Hong Kong. Before joining The Education University of Hong Kong, he was a visiting research fellow in Université Paris Diderot (now Université Paris Cité). Dr Leung’s research centers on photochemical energy conversion, exploring advanced catalytic systems for the activation of small molecules and solar-to-fuel technologies. His projects concern catalysis for carbon dioxide reduction, hydrogen peroxide generation and two-photon excitation. He obtained the RGC Overseas Research Fellowship in 2026 - 27, supporting his visits to University of Tsukuba (Japan) and Sorbonne Université (France) respectively.
