Biography

Olli Tapio Leino is a scholar of philosophy of computer games and an associate professor at CityUHK School of Creative Media. His work has been published in Game Studies, Journal of Gaming & Virtual Worlds, and Games & Culture, translated into Chinese, Portuguese, Polish, and German, and featured on BBC Radio 5, RTHK, and SCMP. Leino's research has been funded by multiple GRF grants and in 2025 he was awarded the Humanities and Social Sciences Prestigious Fellowship. He has trained ten PhD students. Leino is a co-editor of the Journal for the Philosophy of Games.
