Biography

Liu Jianmei is Chair Professor of Chinese Literature at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She is the author of Chinese Thirdspace: The Paradox of Moderate Politics (New York: Columbia University Press, 2025), Zhuangzi and Modern Chinese Literature (New York: Oxford University Press, 2016), Revolution Plus Love: Literary History, Women's Bodies, and Thematic Repetition in Twentieth-Century Chinese Fiction (Honolulu: University of Hawaii Press, 2003).
