Biography

Dr. Qing Pei joined the Hong Kong Polytechnic University as Associate Professor with a joint appointment between the Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics, and the Department of Chinese History and Culture. His research spans both the physical and social sciences, particularly in the fields of history and geography. He has received a number of awards and honours, including the Presidential Young Scholars Scheme of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the Humanities and Social Sciences Prestigious Fellowship Scheme, the Higher Education Outstanding Scientific Research Output Awards, the Second-class Award in Natural Sciences of the Ministry of Education of China, and the Carson Fellowship at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany.
