Biography

Prof. Olga Zayts is the Director of the Centre for the Humanities and Medicine at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). She draws on her dual training in sociolinguistics and public health to research high priority public health issues in Hong Kong and Asia more broadly. She is the founding editor of the Routledge Studies in Language, Health and Culture that publishes research from the non-Western contexts. She has published widely on health communication in genetic, mental health, women's health and other healthcare settings. At HKU she directs the Research and Impact Initiative for Communication in Healthcare (HKU RIICH).
