Biography
Professor Zhonghua Qiao is Chair Professor of Numerical Analysis and Scientific Computing at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his BSc and MSc from Zhengzhou University and his PhD from Hong Kong Baptist University, all in computational mathematics. His research focuses on efficient, energy-stable numerical schemes for fluid dynamics, phase-field models and materials science. He has published widely in leading journals and serves on the editorial boards of several prominent publications in applied and computational mathematics. He was awarded the RGC Early Career Award in 2013 and RGC Research Fellow in 2020, and was elected CSIAM Fellow in 2025.
