Biography

Shangqian Zhu earned his bachelor's degree from Beijing University of Chemical Technology at 2013. From 2014 to 2023, he studied at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology as M.Phil., Ph.D., and Postdoctoral fellow in Professor Minhua Shao's group. In 2023, he joined Southeast University as a full professor, and was promoted to Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering in 2025. He has received several awards, including the NSFC Excellent Young Scholars Fund (Overseas), RGC Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme, School of Engineering PhD Research Excellence Award at HKUST, and the Best Postgraduate Award of the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at HKUST.
