Biography
Dr. Yee Ka Wong‘s research employs field measurements, laboratory experiments and data analytics to investigate the relationships between emissions, air quality and health effects. As an RGC Postdoctoral Fellow at HKUST, his work uncovered how sources of inhalation cancer risk in Hong Kong have evolved in response to economic development and air pollution control policies. He subsequently contributed to a study on vehicular non-exhaust emissions in Canada. His current research at HKUST focuses on developing new analytical techniques for measuring total atmospheric organic pollutants, with the goal of elucidate the factors driving regional air pollution across the Greater Bay Area.
