Biography
Rundong Ning, an anthropologist by training, is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Sciences at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research interests encompass work and labour, science and technology studies, and development. His recent projects examine how the interactions between China and Global South are reshaping people's skills, understandings and practices of work and labor, and global technological landscapes. His ethnographic fieldwork primarily takes place in Africa and China. He also employs computational and other social science research methods. Beyond academia, Professor Ning has extensive experience in providing consultancy to various public, private, and non-profit institutions.
